CHIRP Concert Series Recycling

Shred Day in Brookhaven

HBC provided its mobile shredding truck to the Town of Brookhaven for the Town’s first public shredding event on Saturday, October 13, 2007. At this event, the Town and HBC provided secure document shredding services for well over 100 residents. In July, 2007, HBC began processing the municipal single stream recyclables delivered by the City of Avondale, AZ, to the Hudson Baylor West facility at 1919 University Drive in Phoenix. The City and HBC worked out a signed contract for these services In September. Rigid Plastics Processing

Processing of Rigid plastics has been a successful addition to the recyclable materials processed at all its municipal recycling facilities that Hudson Baylor operates. The additional service demonstrates Hudson Baylor’s flexibility to provide each of it’s customers with the most extensive recycling of material that might otherwise be landfilled. “Rigid plastics” include larger plastic containers such as oversize detergent bottles, five-gallon pails, laundry baskets, and plastic toys.

Hudson Baylor Awarded Brookhaven. NY Contract

At the recommendation of the Department of Waste Management, the Brookhaven Town Council has awarded an operating/marketing contract for the Brookhaven Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) on Horseblock Road in Yaphank to Hudson Baylor Corporation. The MRF is projected to generate in excess of 40,000 tons of recyclable material annually. Hudson Baylor will commence operation of the Town-owned recycling facility on February 1, 2007.
