Hospitals Going Green

Hudson Baylor through its affiliate, Hudson Baylor West is proud to have helped John C. Lincoln Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona divert recyclables from the waste stream.  John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital is the first hospital in the Phoenix area to institute HBC’s novel recycling services, where we partner with community institutions to help divert recyclables from the garbage stream and increase recycling. From it’s experience on the East Coast, where HBC has provided collection services to the local hospitals for over 5 years, HBC has created a hospital recycling service for all recyclable paper, bottles and cans generated within the facility.  The Hospital initiated this program in June 2007, and volume has already doubled as patients, visitors and staff increasingly use the recycling containers and collection program.  Initially a pilot program at the Hospital’s North Mountain location, HBC looks forward to rolling this program out to additional facilities in the John C. Lincoln medical network and other medical facilities during 2008.
