Hudson Baylor Wins Rockland Bid

Hudson Baylor is excited to announce that it has started operations at the Rockland County Materials Recovery Facility ("MRF") on behalf of the Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authority ("RCSWMA"). The facility, located at 420 Torne Valley Rd. in Hillburn, NY, processes recyclable newspaper, cardboard, and commingled bottles and cans for communities in Rockland and Orange Counties, NY.
RCSWMA issed a request for proposals to operate the MRF in early 2004, and the Authority selected Hudson Baylor from three well-qualified bidders. The contract with RCSWMA includes operating and maintaining the MRF for up to ten years, and includes a significant retrofit to the bottle and can processing line. Hudson Baylor and its partner, RRT Design and Construction, will manage this equpment upgrade within the first year of the new operating agreement, which commenced on July 1.
Hudson Baylor, the Recycling Professionals, has over 20 years experience recycling in the Hudson Valley, and operates three recycling facilites in the region (Newburgh, Poughkeepsie, and Hillburn, NY). We accept commingled recyclables, newspaper, and cardboard from hauling firms for recycling at our headquarters in Newburgh, and also provide bottle law pick-up services to beverage distributors across New York, Connecticut, and Massachuestts. We also own and operate two of the largest recycling facilities in the greater Phoenix, Arizona, area. We accept plastics, metals, glass, and paper products, process them, and return them to market as valuable commodities for product manufacturers.
