Product Destruction
What Do We Recycle?
The purpose of recycling is to reduce the volume of what is thrown in landfills. The key to successful recycling operations is to generate marketable commodities. Nobody can flourish in the recycling business if there is no end market for the product that is collected and processed. Selling commodities captured from the recycling operation is the primary revenue source for a recycler and without this end market, our business can’t survive.
As recycling experts, we at Hudson Baylor are constantly searching for new markets for recyclable commodities. We have added equipment to further process glass and plastic to make our commodities more useable for our clients. We have streamlined and adjusted our fiber operations to provide specific types of products for different types of clients. And we are constantly reexamining how we can recycle other commodities in existing waste streams.
Currently, Hudson Baylor handles four categories of recyclable products:
- Glass,
- Plastic,
- Metal, and
- Fiber, or paper.
